51-year-old mother serves as a surrogate for daughter struggling with infertility. The Lockwood family has grown by ONE thanks to a lot of love and a little science.
Breanna and her husband Aaron were struggling with infertility. After countless tests including having reproductive DNA taken and frozen through IVF, something you wouldn’t wish on anybody.
As a mother, Breanna’s mom (Julie) couldn’t handle watching them go through the pain over and over. She offered to be a gestational carrier for her daughter and son-in-law.
After passing tests with flying colors, and a successful implant, they were able to announce on Instagram:
“The biggest supporter in my life is giving us our biggest blessing. My beautiful mama is carrying her first grandchild, Aaron and my biological child, as a gestational carrier”
I had the honor of capturing this beautiful family and the beautiful gift that Breanna’s mom has given them. Photos of the gorgeous mom-to-be and the most loving, kind-hearted and caring grandma-to-be along with Aaron who couldn’t stop smiling the entire time.
After many years of watching what IVF and negative tests were doing to Aaron and Breanna, Julie finally got to see the light in their eyes again as they got to watch their baby grow.
On November 2nd, Briar Juliette Lockwood came into this world weighing 7 lbs 1 oz – after Julie defied all the odds and delivered her granddaughter.
Welcome to the world, Briar!
